Dickens on The Strand Parking
For the last 45 years, GHF has hosted Dickens on The Strand, a festival that highlights downtown Galveston’s Victorian-era architecture while offering a one-of-a-kind holiday destination filled with wonderful sights and sounds of Charles Dickens’ work. The event consists of the traditional parades, entertainment, strolling carolers, musicians, bagpipers, jugglers, and other entertainers. Costumed vendors and rolling carts with holiday food and drink, Victorian-inspired crafts, clothing, jewelry, holiday decorations, and gift items.
Dickens on the strand is a fun festival for the whole family where people dress up like the Victorian and Charles Dickens-era. We have some the closest parking lots to the event located right outside the gates. 201 Rosenberg, 1902 Harborside, and 2327 Postoffice. These parking lots have electronic paystations that take cash and credit cards. Please display ticket on dash
